Looking for an Great Italian Loaf of Bread

Nancy S. | Jan 13, 2005 12:33 PM

Ages ago, when Balducci's was great, the store sold a bread that they called "Italian Round", which was a dense, white flour round bread with an "X" cut on the top. The crust was great and the interior was chewy and not dry. It was not a sour dough bread. I would love to find a loaf like this again. Any suggestions?
