Great French bakery in Danville

Mick Ruthven | Jun 10, 200508:05 PM

After my sopapilla lunch today in Danville (another thread), I just had to stop by a French bakery I found there last year. It's Pascal French Oven at 155 Railroad Avenue. Since I'm a chocolate lover, I had one of their creations called Large Decadence (there's also a Small Decadence) which has been one of my favorite chocolate things since I discovered it over a year ago. They're shaped like a thick cookie and have the character of a cross between a brownie and fudge. What more can I say...

Last year I tried a few of their other pastries and I considered them all "best of type" in my experience.
