They sold too many tickets for so small a space Problems began at door, with 20-25 minute coat check lines, then an announcement that the coat rooms were full and we should carry our coats. (coat check space opened up over an hour or so into event, when the afternoon crowd began to leave). The coat check clerks refused to check bags.
You eat standing up, with tables serving food and wine far too crowded, guaranteeing people knocking into each other, food spilled onto clothes, bulky coats, bags knocking into plates of food. The attempted fix was for lots of servers to hustle about taking empty plates and replenishing supplies at serving tables, which only made the crowding worse.
No drinking water or soft drinks in sight. Tho the wine was flowing.
The food, however, was wonderful.
Gemstone/Wandering Que was great. Rocky Mountain oysters. pancetta. little buns topped with mounds of perfect BBQ.
Grow and Behold let you sample the full range of their wonderful sausages.
Basil had a perfectly cured salmon and cups of cold melon soup.
Pomegranate sliced me a bite of perfect corned beef.
There were other pleasures, but it's been along day, going to sleep it off.
