great experience - Gioco's

Sunday night we had dinner at Gioco's and had a great time. It was busy but not crowded, and the staff was pleasant and attentive without being obnoxious. We all (4) had salads, and split one of the pizette thingys, which was great. My husband ordered his salad without dressing, but it came heavily salted. Mine had dressing, plus more salt. He and I both said "I'm sorry, I think our salads got over salted" and they brought us new ones immediately (much better)

Two people had the special "Italian Paella" I had tilapia in a fennel tomato broth, my husband had sweet pea ravioli. Everything was EXCELLENT! and we had a lovely wine with it.

After dinner, we ordered coffee, and one of the waiters brought over a huge dessert - tiramisu, ice cream, mousse, and more - it was a comp because of the salad mixup. We were floored (but ate it anyway :) and totally did not expect that. They were very sweet, and we really appreciated the concern. It's not like we found glass in the salad (to reference the "foreign objects in food" threads on the Manhattan and General Topics boards ;)

We'll definitely go back there.
