A great egg custard!

was wandering through Chinatown (SF) yesterday and remembered that I had a good egg custard in years past at the Golden Gate Pastry/Bakery on 1029 Grant Avenue - decided to give them another try. They were even better than I remembered - flaky pasty (very rich) and a nice warm custard that was quivering a bit as I bit into it - the pastry was akin to eating a croissant - shattered as you bit into it - all in all - one of the best egg custards I've had in many years - check it out.
