Another "One Great Cookie" question...

This refers to the recipe in Gourmet's 12/05 issue...

My cookies turned out incredibly soft and crumbly on the outside, but nice and crisp on the inside. They were cooked 12 to 15 minutes and browned just the tiniest bit. Some split at the top after cooking.

Although they are delicious, my first thought was that my mother is going to wonder if they're cooked all the way. Anyone else have a similar experience with these cookies?
