Restaurants & Bars

great cocktails for less than a zillion dollars?

nyc_to_ma | Dec 14, 201405:13 PM     12

I'm very much out of the New York loop these days, but I'd love to know some bars (and/or restaurants) where I can get a great cocktail in a relaxed setting - preferably in the $12 range, if that exists.

Neighborhood doesn't really matter - would be happy to go to Brooklyn/Queens too, though I know there's another board for the boroughs. I'd prefer not to deal with any speakeasy antics, unless it's really reallyyyy worth it.

To give you an idea - I love Backbar, Alden & Harlow, Drink, and the Hawthorne in Boston, and Portland Hunt and Alpine in Portland, Maine. In DC, I really like The Passenger and Room 11 (and would like PX more if you didn't have to make a reservation a month in advance).

Thanks for your ideas!
