GREAT CHEESESTEAK IN CHARLESTON AREA?

observor | Mar 25, 2010 07:21 PM

I have tried Philly's, DB's, Gilroy's, Jersey Mike's, Firehouse, Charley's Steakery, Norm's, Toast, Lenny's, and Swamp Fox (the Monday special) and none were really good. Philly's was big, but kind of artifical, and Gilroy's was spongy but had a nice amount of cheese. I would say Jersey Mike's was probably the best because I think the meat is fresh, but they don't toast their rolls and they aren't of high quality so the bread is soft and squishy. I am not looking for a generic kind of thing, but a real one. There must be one, it seems every place has one.
