Great Burger in the Bronx on Castle Hill

Hilltop Diner
Castle Hill near Westchester Avenue

I've been back three days in a row to enjoy a HUGE burger, homemade mashed potatoes and a soda all for the low price 4.95! They also make lemondade from fresh lemons served up with the extra in the frosty metal shaker. Yummmm! The steak sandwich is well seasoned and served on toasted garlic bread. When they have it, the mousakka is my favorite, it's made without the creepy white stuff on top, just scrumptious layers of eggplant, potatoes and ground beef. They have a very american version of lasanga that I love, mostly meat, noodles and mozzarella.

It is a bit of a dive, doesn't stay open very late, and my one time breakfast there wasn't very good, but what they do well always leaves me anxious to go again!
