My wife and I went to Grapeseed tonight. We almost went to La Miche, but we wanted a couple glasses of wine so Grapeseed it was. It's been a while since we've been there and it was as good as we remember.

Not incredible or anything, but decent service (friendly) and above average food. I got fried oysters, beets w/goat cheese, and scallops. All were very good and the scallops were fantastic, contrasting nicely with the sesame broth.

My wife got a mushroom polenta thing that was tasty, but a bit too salty/garlicy... hardly worth complaining about though, as it was good overall. She also got phyllo-wrapped salmon which was OK, but not great. The wine pairing helped the meal.

Desserts were incredible. They had a make-your-own napoleon which I can't imagine being better. We also got a chocolate thing that was essentially the insides of a truffle. Very rich and delicious.
