Grandma needs dinner in a comfortable place

Hi all -- I need, if possible, a quick recommendation of where to take my mother for dinner tonight with a couple kids too. So not too expensive, should be comfortable but not pretentious -- table cloth, for example, and not blaring music. Meat is a good thing in her books but some of us are less convinced. Her 'comfort food' (which she's needing at the moment) is hamburger or chicken. But it would be nice if it were slightly interesting.

Location -- either Monkland Village or actually, I was remembering our one sojourn to Old Mtl -- we stopped at a slightly-hokey but really quite tasty and fun dinner-theater place where the waiters were acting as if they were from an earlier age ... I didn't quite get which period they were supposed to be from but it was fun anyway.

So something in Old Montreal that was good but not hugely expensive would be great. Not too dainty, not too, um, "husky", IYKWIM?! Any thoughts????

Thanks in advance.
