Grand Tasting (Bon A Petit) - Ultimate Culinary Experience ?

Han Lukito | Feb 1, 200312:45 AM     2

If this is not the ultimate chow gourmet experience of the highest order - I don't know what is.

It is held in a huge room beautifully decorated with huge blue lighted artwork. The room is filled with all kinds of wine and champagne. Some are expensive and high quality stuff !

Top restaurants such as Fifth Floor, Elizabeth Daniel, Jianna, Jeanty at Jack's, Masa, Aqua and too many other top tiered places to count offered little samples of their signature dishes.

Isa Restaurant offered seared Hudson Valley foie gras. I got two little plates of those heavenly things. A friend kept coming back four times. It's all you can eat seared foie gras !!! There are other types of foie gras dishes. They are fantastically prepared.

Grand Cafe offered Country Pate with Black truffle. The black truffle flavor is very noticeable. Great dish.

There were lobster cakes, sturgeon caviar, duck confit, etc. Beef tongue, seared lamb tenderloin, on and on.

Desserts: Ritz Carlton chocolate cake is heavenly. Another catering company had amazing array of cookies and sweets.

Aqua had this fantastic truffle oil popcorn.

All you can eat for only $125 per person.
