Grand Central Danish Hot Dog stand is open

Although I have not tried it yet, I just noticed that the Danish Hot Dog stand is open. They have about four different toppings and they are all $8.00/$7.00. I realize that may sound like a lot for a hot dog (and I am not one of those people with money to burn), but they look fairly large and the toppings are pretty high end. They also smell really good. Right next to it is a place that sells bread and breakfast sandwiches.

This is not to be confused with the main operation which is at least two weeks to a month away from opening. This stand is located in the "Shuttle Passage" over by the exit to 42nd and Vanderbilt (across from Rite Aid).

I haven't had a Danish hot dog since I went to Denmark in the 1980s and I have not forgotten about them.

Here is a link to some info about the whole concept.
