My wife has a birthday coming up and I made reservations at GT, her favorite restaurant. I like this place a lot (especially for lunch on the tavern side) but familiarity is weighing on me.
Don't get me wrong, this is a terrific restaurant with a great staff and wonderful food. Here's the dilemma: This particular price/quality tier (Babbo, Veritas, etc.) is about as far as I'm willing to go. Alain Ducasse and a few choice others are wonderful but nothing I can frequent more than once a year.
