Grain mill and flaker choices?

Sid Post | Feb 14, 201605:00 PM     2

I'm looking to grind my own flour so I'm interested in grain mills and flakers. While I would like a GrainMaker® Grain Mill and GrainMaker® Flaker Mill, I am put off by the high price and question whether or not a hand powered appliance is a good fit for my lifestyle.

I am leaning towards a KoMo grain mill and KoMo flaker. Does anyone have experience with the KoMo Classic electric grain mill and KoMo Flocino flaker? The Mockmill looks like a good option for most people but, I'm thinking I want to get something with a little more capacity than it offers.

What brands have you used? What did you like or dislike about them? What do you recommend for someone with a budget of ~$500 for the grinder and a ~$150 for the flaker?

TIA,
Sid
