Ok, I am back in town after a year out of the country (in the Caribbean no less) and checked out a brand new find on Cape Cod.
Gracie's Table is on 6A in charming Dennis Village. The chef was formerly at New Moon in Harwichport.
My friend Jill and I had an early supper at the new Gracie's Table located across from Scargo Cafe on 6 A in Dennis Village. One word..SUPER..
The ambiance is lovely..similar to Abba (Orleans..another find) in a more conservative way, soft pillows, nice fabrics and a comfy dining room up and downstairs. Ask for table 8 upstairs for a romantic L shaped corner.
The menu is Tapas on one side and full entrees on the other..delightful selections..a very eclectic menu.
The drink menu is great. I had my new favorite, a Mojito, a rum sugar lime drink infused with LOTS of fresh mint. I first had this at Cuba's Cooking in Aruba and LOVED it..this was as good..Jill loved her Chardonnay.
We shared tuna carpaccio with a green wasabi sorbet..LOVELY. Then we had Catalan Spinach with garlic, currants, pine nuts and olive oil. Lovely. The Jumbo Prawns a la Plancha were tossed on a flat griddle with sherry vinegar, garlic and lots of lemon. Jill loved this. My fav were the Hot Lobster Rolls - sushi style stuffed with Jonah Crab, avocado, lobster mousse topped with a chili aoili wrapped in Nori.
The crusty chewy bread served with green extra olive oil was FAB. SUPER WAIT STAFF..
I loved it..
