Grabbing chow with non-Chowhounds

My wife and I are coming to Boston for a weekend later this month with another couple to see the Red Sox. I am the only Chowish type in the group. The other couple is really excited about doing some tourist stuff like swan boat rides. I'm more interested in finding some good food that I miss here at home in eastern Maine.
I am looking for places near Fenway, the swans, or Fannuel Hall where I might be able to dart in and grab a great treat to go. Falafel, kibbeh, a great taco, a really good bakery, or something more exotic that I wouldn't even think of. Anything delicious that can be eaten on the go. I know there is a ton of food at Fannuel Hall, but is any of it really great? If not, I'd be willing to lose my group and run a couple blocks to pick up something really special. Can I bring food on the swans? Please help me. I read this board and I envy you Boston folk for all the food choices you have. I need to visit more often.
