just came back from lunch at GR eats.
pretty empty when i went in, which was nice, IMO. i always have late lunches, in order to avoid the crowds.
very sterile, place, used to be the old don don tei ramen space.
very small, the seats arent that bad, but i think a place that small should use more linear type of seating, rather than make it look like a school caferia. the decor is minimal, but im guessing they are into that type of look. it also was freezing in there, i had 3 layers of clothes on and was still freezing my ass off!
great background music, much on the chillout, downtempo, IDM, triphop tip. i really despise restaurants that play music in the background but have no taste in music whatsoever.
so what i ordered, seared tuna salad.
delicious. perfect sized portion for lunch.
ate the whole thing. tuna steak very fresh.
loved the dressing, reminds me much of the dressing my mom made when my parents used to have a restaurant.
another restaurant patron near me, was having the same thing and she also enjoyed that salad, too.
all the greens were fresh and the avocado in it, was quite a tasty surprise.
good place for lunch, dont recommend for dinner until they do something about the decor, especially the lighting.
service was ok, too, even though there werent too many people i noticed another table waiting for about 10-15 minutes for their meal (they ordered entrees) and as soon as i was done, the waitress grabbed my plate and put the check on my table, lol. she was nice though, just funny how fast she was.
id definetly keep going back there for lunch, quite healty and appetizing.
