"Gourmet" Hamburgers at Costco?

zackly | Jun 24, 2017 09:23 AM

I think my local Costco is missing the boat by not offering fresh or frozen raw gourmet hamburgers, like local supermarkets sell. Mixtures of beef chuck, brisket, short ribs and other cuts from the front of the animal are very popular and command a premium price ($6.00-$8.00+ per pound). They are marketed as American Kobe, Grass Fed, Wagyu etc. The ones I have cooked are very good. Does your local Costco sell anything like these? Add the fact that Costco fresh ground beef is not very good for burgers (too lean, tough and not chuck) which forces me to go to some other store to buy fresh burgers and invariably other items which translates into lost sales for Costco.
