Gourmet food stores near 50th and Lex?

We're headed to Manhattan tomorrow for four nights. We're staying in one of the Manhattan East apartment hotels and plan to eat (and cook at least part of) our Thanksgiving Dinner there (near 50th and Lexington). Anyone have any suggestions for high quality food shops in that area? I know there are one or two "regular" grocery stores nearby; and there is an Amish Market on 45th. We'll be eating out other nights. Giving in tomorrow pre-theater to family's long standing desire to go to the 21 Club. I think we're trying French on Saturday night (L'Actuel) and Italian on Friday (haven't decided; maybe Cafe Linda, which got a good review in the New York Magazine). Am also taking in two Broadway shows, taking a cruise around the island, going shopping, and generally spending all of our hard earned cash! (Off topic question: Is the "Sound of Music" singalong still playing? If so, where is it? I thought I saw something indicating it had moved to the Waverly Theater in the Village but can't verify.) Thanks! Greg/Washington, DC
