Gourmet deals?

Deflator_Mouse | Feb 4, 2004 10:19 AM

I was wondering if folks knew about any higher-endish places that have special deals on certain days of the week, times of the year, etc.

I only have two contributions to make.

Spiaggia: From around Thanksgiving to Christmas, Spiaggia offers a 3 course prix fixe lunch where, for $35, you get to pick a starter, an entree, and a dessert. Portions are ample, quality is the same as for dinner. It's really a great way to eat at Spiaggia for less than usual.

Tournesol: On I think Tuesdays through Thursdays (whatever non-weekend nights they are open), Tournesol, a French higher end bistro-esque restaurant in Lincoln Square, has a 3 course prix-fixe dinner for $22 where you get to pick a starter, an entree, and a dessert. On top of that, they have about 20 wines that, from Tuesday through Thursday, are only 20 bucks for a bottle. When last we went there were some really good quality wines available -- stuff that *retails* for $15 and would normally be over $30 at most Chicago restaurants.

Thanks in advance for the tips.
