I was recently in Bangkok where I ate in a hotel Chinese restaurant. If I recall correctly (iirc), I had salt and pepper scallops, and it was very, very, good. This restaurant was clearly upscale: the Chinese Haut Cuisine equivalent of Jardinere or Hawthorne Lane. (The dish was pretty expensive, too: 300 Bhat, or about $8!!)
