gorilla -- free trade attitude

peter carey | Oct 11, 2004 01:21 PM

A friend recently went to Gorilla Coffee on the advice of Chowhound in order to get free trade coffee. He was excited, but when he got there the staff was so bloody unfriendly and he felt so unwelcome that he ended up leaving with a very bad taste in his mouth, rather than the one he wanted. It was the "we don't want your kind" type.

(He has nice designer glasses)

I continue to be impressed with Park Slopes food offerings and disappointed when one has to suffer in order to get it. Anyone else have this experience there? Anyone know the manager and can pass along this sad message?

He is now buying his free trade coffee at Starbucks (also on the advice of Chowhound-ers).
