I did a search but didn't find anything about this, but thought that Hounds who value Gorikee would be interested. We had lunch there today and noticed the ABC notice of change of ownership posted on the window. Sure enough, Chef Tsuji confirmed that he has sold the restaurant and will no longer be there after about late April. He will train the new chef during March and April, the name will remain the same and the menu as well (at least at the outset of the new venture). Tsuji, at least initially, will be spending time with his family. A new restaurant? He is noncomittal at this time. Apperantly Patrick will remain but he seemed pensive and I suspect that he fears for his job. The Wimpy's Burger was as good as ever but the fries didn't seem to have as much garlic as when we last had them. The potato/ginger soup was delicious (as are all his soups) with thick chunks of potatoe and ever-so-fine slivers of leek and ginger. The garlic crusted chicken with dijon sauce was as usual - skin to savor, moist and tender meat beneath. We'll be going back before Chef Tsuji departs and will report on the new powers-that-be.
