I've spent a week each February for the past two years in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, and each time I've eaten gorditas, stuffed corn things sort of like tortillas but thicker--sorry, I can't be more articulate. New York is supposed to be the place where you can get anythimg, but I haven't found true gorditas in any of the Mexican spots in my neighborhood (East Village), and I'm yearning for them. Any suggestions?
