We enjoyed the holiday goose last year at Suppenkuche, and it's back on as a special all this week at least. Very delicious meat in a richly flavored sauce, with some of the best red cabbage I've had anywhere. Unfortunately it also comes with a potato dumpling, which I mostly left. For me anyway, potato dumplings are unredeemable in any form, being much too gluey even in the best renditions.
Their suckling pig -- which was fabulous in October -- is also back on the specials menu. These come with (much better) bread dumplings.
Any other restaurants in San Francisco with goose for the holidays (other than Chez Panisse's goose choucroute next Monday)?
