Goodies at Verrill Farm

DodinBouffant | Jun 30, 2003 03:03 PM

Went for a swim out by Lincoln today and stopped at Verrill Farm to see what might be available...grown there
Beautiful Lettuces: Bibb, Butter Crisp, Romaine, Green Leaf, Red Leaf, Red Oak Leaf, Green Oak Leaf each only 1.19/head
Amazing Candy Striped Beets with beautiful tops
Firm and Shiny Radishes with flawless tops
Pristine Chard(which is going to make excellent raviolis)
Red Red Red Sweet and Delicious strawberries($5/qt)a bit pricey but well worth it when you taste one!

They said that the tomatoes should be coming around the 3rd week of July(obviously delayed from the rain).

They also have milk from Shaw Farm in Dracut in Quart size glass bottles...awesome chocolate milk!!

Happy Cooking!!
