I was in a produce store last week and the Fuji apples looked particularly beautiful. I've always liked Fujis, but they have never been a particular favorite.
The two Fujis I bought tasted as good as they looked. This week, I bought two more at another store and they were equally fantastic.
What has changed? My taste or the apples' taste?
But would there be as much variability in apple quality from year to year as there is with wine? Baseball teams?
