Hi!

Having moved from the UK to New York, I have pretty high standards when it comes to any North Indian food. With the exception of Punjabi Deli in the East Village, I have yet to find a good restaurant that serve legitimately tasty Tandoori chicken and other Northern dishes (particularly made with goat, which i have been craving lately)

Does anyone know of any restaurants in NJ or NYC area that are tried and tested? As for curry, it may just be my luck, but so many seem to be just oil with a hint of flavor. (Granted, I soon stopped looking for Indian food when i moved here 5 years ago. But it would be great to find a spot).

I heard that Jackson Heights no longer does great Indian food, can anyone vouch for it? I would love to find somewhere with lots of choice so if one restaurant is too full i can just go next door etc.

Thanks!
