Looking for really good tamales in Sacramento

Ann Vuletich | Dec 19, 2002 12:44 PM

Can anyone recommend a good Mexican grocery/tacqueria to get really great tamales in Sacramento? Have gotten them from La Esperanza on Franklin I think the last few years, and recently haven't cared for them too much. The masa didn't have the texture I like, it was too thick and "corny" instead of smoother, silkier texture. Also particularly like chicken but pork is ok too. The place should make carnitas too but most do and it's hard to mess that up. Thanks in advance.
