I will be traveling to New York on Wednesday, and I will be staying there for a 4 day period. While I'm there, I would like to check out some excellent South American restaurants. I heard that Queens(specifically Jackson Heights)has the largest South American population outside of South America, so I assume that there are good restaurants there(or is Manhattan better?). I am specifically looking for restaurants that specialize in Peruvian, Colombian, and Argentinian cuisine. I'm also looking for any Peruvian chicken joints which are better than the ones found in the Washington D.C. area. This is my criteria for restaurant selection:
1)Quality of food
2)Price(must be affordable, or the main dishes must be less than $10 per person)
5)Accesible by Public Transportation(Subway etc.)
Again, I will be leaving soon so I appreciate any help ASAP!!!
