Anything Good Around South Amboy?

sivyaleah | Jun 2, 2005 10:54 AM

We're possibly moving to a new community in South Amboy and so far have not been able to locate anyplace chow worthy in the area.

We have gotten spoiled from living a bit further north, where great fare is available in quantity (the Westfield area).

The only place I remember is Casa Verde in Sayerville. Great portuguese food which I've been going to with my family since my teens. We were there a few months ago for the first time in many years and it was just as good as I remembered.

So, any ideas? There doesn't seem to be anything actually in the town, but traveling to nearby areas is just fine (Old Bridge, Sayreville, Edison, Woodbridge, etc.). This problem is one of those deciding factors about moving to SA, believe it or not. We need good food, regardless of price. Cheap, expensive, as long as it's worth eating :-)

Thanks as always!
