looking for good San Mateo lunchspots to ease the pain of the CA bar exam

Next week, I am taking the California bar exam from Tuesday through Thurdsay--yes, 3 whole days. It's being held at the San Mateo Convention Center, I'm staying in a hotel about a mile away, and I was hoping you all could give me some good lunch recommendations that are a little off the beaten path and less likely to be mobbed with crazed bar exam takers. I have a two-hour lunch break, but probably not much time to drive anywhere, so recommendations for anyplace close and cheap and of course, up to chowhound standards of excellence, would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to need serious comfort food! Much thanks.
