Good Salt Beef - Covent Garden

CTownFeedR | Nov 15, 200704:21 AM     6

I've come across a very good salt beef joint in CG - Scotts. Its' on the cover of New Row and Bedfordbury. By all appearances, it's your normal, run-of-the-mill sandwich joint which normally I would have just walked on past. However, strolling by a few weeks ago, I spotted a mass of redish meat which looked like the real deal. Popped inside to try. The sandwich is piled nicely with hand-carved, warm, moist, flavorful salt beef. With a schmear of spicy english mustard and a few pickles on the side, it's a very tasty lunch. Having been 3 times now, the product is definitely consistent gets my seal of approval. It ain't Katz pastrami, but it's good.

Only problem is the price; £5.70. Still, completely worth it now and again if you are in the area. They even have setting if you don't want to take away.

Enjoy.
