Looking for good rolls for brats/wursts

rl | Oct 4, 2005 02:22 PM

I'm having an Oktoberfest celebration at my house on Saturday and I will be serving a variety of wursts along with my homebrewed Fest Weizen. Only thing I need is some good rolls/brotchen/semmel to put them in. I'm looking for something like a hard roll or a portuguese roll that is crispy on the outside without being too chewey, and soft on the inside without being gummy. And it would have to be in a small sub roll shape to match the shape of the wurst.

Preferably I'm looking in the Cambridge or Metro West area or up rte 1 since I am heading to Karl's in Saugus for the wurst. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
