Three Very Good Restaurants In Very Northern California (Hopland Inn, Benbow Inn and La Grange Cafe or LaGrange Cafe) - PART TWO

This is Part Two of our culinary journey since we can only post one link and image file per post.

Hello fellow Chowhounds! My wife and I just returned from Very Northern California and we would like to share with you three very good restaurants in the event that you visit the area and are looking for some very good places to eat. There aren’t too many good restaurants in Very Northern California we discovered so we thought we’d save you the agony of eating in a hovel by letting you in on our experience. The titles of these posts have the name of all the restaurants we ate at so that you can look it up on the find feature on your browser. LaGrange Café is spelled also La Grange Café. This is so you can locate it either way you spell it.

Begin Part Two:

The next morning, we ate lunch at the Benbow Inn in Garberville, 103 miles north of Hopland on U.S. 101 and 204 miles north of San Francisco. This is the only good restaurant between Hopland and Eureka and Arcata. So good, that Wine Spectator gave it an award this year. Lunch was a gourmet club for me and a gourmet roasted chicken salad for my wife. Their dining room is upscale and beautifully decorated. Formal dress is required for dinner, but you can get away with casual formal for breakfast and lunch.
