We have just moved to Naples, so thought I'd post some restaurants that we have found to be consistently good and some new ones which we've heard of and are in the process of trying. The consistently good ones, we have visited over 10 times and have not had a bad meal yet:
Bleu Provence..French food in a lovely atmosphere (including outdoor patio dining in a garden) and a great wine list.
Cote D'Azur..French "country food" in a very festive, but relatively small room with very limited outdoor seating on a sidewalk. This restaurant is located in a strip mall, but the food is exceptional!
The Dock...seafood right on the water. No reservations taken, very tropical feeling as all sides are open to the outside. Very informal and fun. Jimmy Buffet music, bar, and general festive and fun! Great stone crab claws and grouper.
We will be trying Escargot 41next. It is supposed to be the "best food in Naples". It too is located in a strip mall, is small, but with a somewhat elegant atmosphere. It is VERY difficult to get into, so plan well ahead for reservations. Has gottnen RAVE reviews in the Naples paper and in several local magazines.
