An old pub (circa 1420) The Three Chimneys, in Biddenden Kent has good menu using obviously well sourced ingredients and well executed cooking. Very hearty mixed salad with walnuts and excellent lardons, good fresh anchovy salads, very good liver and bacon, and well received steaks and fish dishes. Best of all, great puddings. Superb sticky toffee pudding, good fresh strawberry brulee and a well liked crumble.
A selection of cask ales including Shepherd Neames seasonal Goldings and a short but good wine list serviced well.
It's a lovely old building with a nice terrace for the restaurant. There is also a large garden where you can be served ploughmans. If they are to the standard of the rest of the food I am sure they are good.
It is certainly a cut above other options in the area tried over the weekend.
