I have read so many postings in the recent past about Orlando and at the risk of being duplicative, here is my request. I will be with a group of people who really enjoy fine dining for a few days in late January in Orlando staying at the Gaylord. I had tried to make a reservation for the chef's table at Victoria and Alberts; but much to my disappointment, they were already booked for those three nights and I was told that you can't have the 12 course tasting menu in the regular dining room. The last time I was with this group in Orlando, we ate at Norman's in the Ritz and while the food was very good, the service wasn't up to par (it was the first weekend they were open for business; although to the owner's credit they comped me for two dinners at their restaurant in the Gables which was terrific)I have seen some recent postings on this website saying that Normans was not that good and was looking for recommendations of some "primo" restaurants in Orlando to try this time around. Any suggestions? BTW, is Victoria and Alberts worth trying even without the chef's table? Thanks in advance for all suggestions.
