Good Pastrami & corned beef in Santa Clarita /Newhall

Wes | Jan 22, 200709:06 PM

We found a Cathy's Deli in Santa Clarita and decided to give it a try.

It was very good. The Deli style Pastrami was marbled enough to be juicy but not so much to be greasy. The rye bread was good. The price was right at <$10 with good french fries and coleslaw. (I got the double without tomato and lettuce, Just the pastrami.

Brent's has my favorite Pastrami but it is cross town from us and is always very crowded. Parking is a zoo. While Cathy's pastrami is a notch below Brent's it's easy location, parking, quality, and low price make it an acceptable alternate.

Not too far east of the 5 fwy.
