Have the folks coming in a few weeks from now and we'd like to take them to some great meals with ambience. My parents love to eat, but are not hardcore foodies or wine drinkers. So for instance we cancelled a Craigie St. reservation. Despite the quality of the food there, with just 3 nights in Boston my mom would no doubt make a sarcastic comment about eating "in a basement." If they were here for a week, no problem. Craigie St would definitely make the cut. I'm also passing on East Coast Grill as I'd like a little more of an "event" ambience.

So we're doing Hamersley's on Saturday night, probably Neptune Oyster on Sunday night. Need a good spot on Friday night.

I'd also like to mix neighborhoods. We've got one North End and one South End there.

I was thinking of possibly Eastern Standard (great space, good cocktails), decent-but-not-great food. Any alternative ideas to Eastern Standard?
