made my first visit to this well known burger stop in Paso Robles. It is done up in a frontier/western look - the counter guy is very friendly and efficient. The single patty is not very impressive but the resulting burger (the Coyote) is still very tasty - with nice thick tomato slices, onion, lettuce, pickle and good ol' sauce. the bun is also grilled briefly - the patty has a nice smoky quality to it. We shared a large order of Wagon Wheels (onion rings) - they were addictive - crackling crispy batter and very large. I'm more of a fan of the onion strings dredged in seasoned flour - rather than batter dipped but these Wagon Wheels are very good. Next time I would try the double patty (Ranch Hand)....it is located at 101 and the junction of 46 East. 1145 24th St. Paso Robles. 805. 238-0655 You can call in your order for faster service. Everything is made to order - so it can take a few minutes....this area has colorful locals....hunting and guns are big - lots of billboards for the local gun show and there were 4 guys inside talking about hunting and guns - two of them dressed in cammo gear and checking out the latest gun magazines....homeland security?
