Good news for downtown Seattle lunchers - Harbor Cafe

The sweet woman at Harbor Cafe (1411 Fourth Ave) told me today that starting next month they will be offering beef, shrimp, and tofu noodle soup bowls, in addition to the delicious chicken one they have now, which has fresh herbs, bean sprouts, green onions and a slighly spicy broth. "Just in time for fall" she said. If you haven't ever been, Harbor Cafe is a hole in the wall at the very back of the lobby, but their food is fast, fresh, and friendly. My favorites are the noodle soup bowl, the swimming rama, and the yellow curry. They also have more traditional-American lunches, like pork loin and BBQ, plus a daily special. And everything is right around $7. Enjoy!
