Well I've no one to blame but myself! We have wintered over in the Delray Beach area a number of years in the past so when we found ourselves staying over last week due to a family visit, a restaurant meal seemed in order. Rocky's Italian Restaurant in Delray Beach just off Atlantic tempted us as the cooking smells outside after a computer session at the local library were oh so good. And indeed the choices in food we made were good and plentiful (penne arabinata (sp?) - very spicy and full of flavor and the eggplant parmigianna - basic fare but just what SWMBO wanted. The wine we chose was a chianti classico reserva (not in stock). Would we like a favorite choice of the owner? Yes why not since the rest of the list looked good. Well that was the bad choice - the cost for the plain chianti classico they brought was as much as the listed reserva. As I said, I've no one to blame but myself. However there are too many really good places to eat here to go back and be overcharged for an only adequate wine.
