Good Middle Eastern -- West Palm/Lake Worth

GWR | Feb 9, 2012 11:17 AM

Just went to a place found on Yelp, of all places, but no mention here. It's a Middle Eastern market with tables and a food counter named Yahala, on Military in a dingy strip mall just south of Forest Hill Blvd. Had a great lamb shawarma and my wife had a kafta kebob sandwich, both on very good pita bread. Meat was tasty and the toppings, mainly cucumbers, onions, and pickles, had a great flavor that I couldn't quite place. The couple who run it were extremely nice, and the seating area is nicer than you might expect from the outside, but you can also get food to go. They also have falafel and some other things that I'm definitely going to have to try. Oddly, they also apparently serve pizza, calzone and subs, but I can't imagine going there for that. Maybe it's good but I'd stick with the Middle Eastern fare...
