A very good meal at Meiji

Dined at Meiji tonight and it was very good, albeit somewhat slow, especially given the light crowd. Our group shared seven different rolls with our favorite being the smoked salmon (Philadelphia?) and the Koto? (Unagi, jalapeno, cilantro, etc.) All in all, the rolls were outstanding and they were presented very nicely -- I prefer this place to Sushi Wabi. Almost all of the rolls were served with their own sauce, which is nice if you're like me and don't like every roll tasting like soy sauce. Desserts were also outstanding. The best was the peanut chocolate cake. The lychee and the raspberry/white chocolate mochi were also very good. The green tea ice cream served w/ the apple dessert was as good as I've had. The service could be sped up, and the descriptions of the rolls when served could be better, but all in all, a great addition to the West Loop.
