Good mail/internet order in the UK?

drdawn | Aug 22, 2003 08:54 AM

I live in the UK (Ipswich) and am currently scouring for good chow sites to buy from. Seems I always come across US ones (the droolworthy American Spice Co. comes to mind) but never UK. Not too keen on paying huge shipping costs/tax. I know about Lakeland Limited, and the back of Nigella Lawson's How To Eat has some stuff, but must have more! MORE MORE MORE!!!

By the way, for any English readers, Ipswich is a remarkable place for chowhounds. Maybe not spectacular in terms of restaurants (although I have yet to go wrong with Mizu, a wagamama rip-off, delicious nonetheless) but ingredient buying is extremely good--Thai, Afro-Carribean, Italian, Chinese. Oh, and English. If there's interest I'm happy to post a full run down.
