Hi, I'm looking for a good restaurant downtown near Barclay St, for lunch on Friday. It's Good Friday and I have the day off although my boyfriend doesn't, so I happily said I would go down there to lunch with him. We usually don't get to do this since I work in NJ so it's a nice treat for both of us (esp for me, working in NJ without a car makes my lunchtime food selection very very limited - cafeteria or mediocre food court). Any sort of cuisine would be great, we just don't want regular sandwich-type places like Cosi. We both enjoy all sorts of good food, hole in the wall places are welcome (just as long as we can sit down)...and any prix fixe deals in the area would be awesome as well. I used to work down there and most of the places I've seen are the usual delis and take-out eateries, not sit down type places. Price is not an issue although we'd like it to be moderate (10-25 range for lunch). I've been to Roy's before and liked it, although it is a bit of a trek for my boyfriend. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!
