good and inexpensive lunch anywhere near 59th St

Where's a good place to meet a friend for lunch? Preferably ethnic, but I’ll take good bar hamburger if need be. Can't be fancy (I'll be biking). Doesn’t have to be *cheap*, but I don’t want expensive.

I’ll be biking in from Queens and heading up 59th St from 2nd Ave and eventually to work at 59th and 10th. I’m looking for a place not too far out of the way. Anything between 1st and 11th Ave and, say, 55th and 65th is fair game.

There are so many tourist or business oriented places around midtown, but I figure there must be a few gems.

I seem to remember reading a review of a noodle place on the East Side some time back in the $25 and under section. Can’t remember what or where that was. Maybe that’s near?
