Hi chowhounds ...
There used to be a place in Chinatown and on Geary Street in SF that had great Hung Tao Yee Foo Wonton, with the right amount of balance between the wonton, thick soup, crab, char siu, cilantro, white pepper, and other flavors...
Would love to find any recommendations for places that still make it.
Been going to Hong Sing in Glen Park, they have a nice amount of crab meat in the broth, but missing the char siu, and cilantro, and the slight crispiness of the fried wonton.
I do like their Potstickers there - nice balance of pork, veggie, and ginger - better to get a fresh order than to get the ones from the warming plate as you can imagine.
Hopefully someone out there knows of a good place...
